Introduced in 2015, the UN Sustainable Development Goals are increasingly gaining importance. Wherever you are in the world, the SDGs provide guidance and they provide business opportunities.
The big overlap of these goals with Beijing’s 2030 agenda—and the country’s sheer size—make China an especially attractive market to seek out beneficial areas of engagement on development. But, for most businesses in China, including foreign firms, directly addressing the SDGs is uncharted territory.
Our latest project was designed to fill the gap. China and the UN Sustainable Development Goals: Policy Priorities and Business Goals brings together a wealth of information and analysis to help companies understand and prioritize the SDGs in the context of China’s new and longstanding development policy priorities. For the first time, we're providing an interactive web report, which I think you’ll find particularly worthwhile to investigate.
Your feedback on this new format is very much appreciated. I wish you the best on your plans for the summer—this newsletter will be on hiatus next month and will return to your inbox in September with the very latest from the Sustainability Center.
