Global Consumer Confidence 2021 Q2

July 14, 2021 | Report

Global consumer confidence, as measured by The Conference Board ® Global Consumer Confidence Index, achieved a new record high in the second quarter of 2021. However, the gauge was only slightly better in 2021 Q2 (109) than in 2021 Q1 (108), after several quarters of sizable increases in sentiment (a reading above 100 is considered positive). The modest improvement in confidence overall was consistent with opposing forces buffeting the global economy in the second quarter of this year.
