GLP-1s have recently been demonstrated to reduce cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk - the #1 killer of Americans. Research has repeatedly demonstrated that medications for CVD alone are much less effective without behavioral and lifestyle modifications. In fact, in many head-to-head comparisons, outcomes like blood pressure reduction, weight loss, and cholesterol reduction are greater in those following a behavioral intervention vs taking medication alone. During this session, large employers will address the decrease in CVDrelated utilization they saw in participants when a simple, cost-effective digital heart health solution was implemented alongside effective medication management. We will also discuss the sustainability of these changes as compared with other therapies.
