Corporate citizenship and sustainability issues such as climate change, human rights, water and energy security, and external reporting have become a significant part of risk management and corporate communications, both for companies and their investors. In addition, the global call for internalizing sustainability into company policies, planning, implementation, and operations is the need of the day.
The breadth and significance of these challenges tax even the largest companies, as investors and society at large seek increasing guarantees that issues of citizenship and sustainability are managed effectively.
The South Asia Council on Corporate Citizenship and Sustainability gives members an opportunity to address these challenges and compare notes to ensure they have the right strategies in place to identify and deal with environmental and social performance issues, and promote effective external engagement and communication, including reporting.
