William J. O’Shaughnessy, Jr. is Deputy General Counsel and Corporate Secretary of Quest Diagnostics Incorporated, which he joined in 2007.  He is responsible for the Company’s corporate governance, securities, corporate finance, executive compensation and benefits matters, and oversees a team of professionals providing support for a broad range of issues including laboratory operations, anatomic pathology, clinical trials and other matters.

William is past President of the Stockholder Relations Society of New York.  He is past President of the New York chapter of the Society for Corporate Governance, a past member of the Society’s national Board of Directors and its Nominating and Governance Committee, and served as the Society’s national Secretary for several years. 

From 2014 to 2019, William was a member of the Broadridge Independent Steering Committee.  Currently, he serves as a member of the Corporate Governance Professional Commission, an independent body responsible for the governance of the CCGP – Certified Corporate Governance Professional® program.  William is also a member of the American and New Jersey State Bar Associations.
