Wanya Ogata is the Corporate Health & Wellness Manager for Hawaiian Electric Company and is responsible for providing strategic direction and execution of workplace wellness and substance abuse prevention programs.  She is committed in helping her workforce achieve their health objectives and lead healthy, happy and productive lives.  Wanya has over 30 years of experience as a leader in the corporate world, working in the financial, marketing and healthcare arena.  Wanya is also a proven leader in the community and is also passionate about impacting lives by improving the health and economic security of all people, especially those who are marginalized or need help and hope.  Wanya currently serves on Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD) organization as Board Chair.

Wanya is a graduate of the University of Hawaii and holds a Master of Public Health degree specializing in Health Education and Health Administration, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications.

Wanya rejuvenates and finds work life balance by spending quality time with her husband of 43 years, four adult children and three grandchildren.  As a busy mom, she understands first-hand the challenges of maintaining a healthy, balanced lifestyle while juggling a career and family.
