Vandana serves as the EVP and Chief Legal Officer of Verizon, and leads a world class team of Legal, Corporate Security, and Cyber Security professionals dedicated to protecting and enabling the enterprise. In this role, she is focused on the critical legal, regulatory, and security issues that matter most to Verizon’s customers, shareholders, and employees.

Vandana brings over 20 years of cross functional experience in telecom, media, consumer technology, and retail sectors. She has extensive experience counseling boards of directors and senior executive teams on governance, cybersecurity, and the global regulatory landscape.

Prior to assuming her current role, Vandana held various roles in Verizon supporting business units and corporate functions, which served more than 120M consumers, most of the Fortune 1000 global enterprises, and local, state, and national governments.

Before joining Verizon, Vandana worked at the law firms Morse, Barnes-Brown & Pendleton and Bingham, Dana & Gould, where she provided counsel to internet, high-tech, and biotech startups.

Corporate & Charitable Leadership

Vandana has worked to support college and career readiness for high school and college students, preparing them for the careers of tomorrow. She is a current board member of the US Chamber of Commerce, past board member of the National Association of Manufacturers, and Bottom Line. She has been recognized for her corporate and charitable leadership by the NY Law Journal, GC Power List, International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution, NJ LEEP, and other groups.

Personal & Educational Background

Vandana holds a law degree from Georgetown University Law School, along with Master's and Bachelor's degrees in History from the University of California, Los Angeles.
