Tim Grisius is the Global Officer, M&A, Business Development, and Real Estate for Marriott International. He is a member of the Senior Leadership Team and investment committee. He is globally responsible for mergers & acquisitions, business development, real estate investments, branded residential development and operations, cruise, and timeshare.

Tim started his Marriott International career in 1996 working in corporate finance. He transitioned to Lodging Development in 2006. While in development, he has been responsible for developing numerous company owned hotels under various Marriott brands, growing the branded residential portfolio to the largest in the industry, leading the spin-off of Marriott Vacation Club, launching the Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, and leading the development of Marriott’s new global corporate headquarters. He became the Global Real Estate Officer when Marriott acquired Starwood Hotels in 2016, and global M&A and Business Development were added to his responsibilities in 2021. Tim recently structured the strategic relationship with MGM, the wellness joint venture with Lefay, and the brand acquisitions of City Express, citizenM, and Postcard Cabins.

Tim began his professional career with KPMG as a CPA in the firm’s Washington, DC office. He earned his bachelor’s degree in business administration from Georgetown University and his MBA from Cornell University.
