Tim Matthews is a Program Director at The Conference Board. In addition, since 2005, Tim has led his organization through certification to the ISO 22301:2012 Business Continuity standard and conformity to the Department of Homeland Security’s Private Sector Preparedness Program - PS-Prep. In 2015, under his leadership, the organization was honored with the prestigious North American and Global “Continuity and Resilience Team of the Year” awards by the Business Continuity Institute.
Prior to his current position, Tim was a Management Consultant specializing in effective Enterprise Resiliency. Tim has over 38 years of leadership experience in the areas of Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery, Security Operations, Strategic Outsourcing, Venture Capital, IT Service Strategies and Software Development.
Tim holds a Doctor of Science in Civil Security Leadership, Management and Policy from NJCU, an MBA from Rider University and undergraduate degrees in Banking/Commerce and Computer Science. Tim also completed the rigorous ISMA Georgetown Security Leadership program in 2008.
Dr. Mathews is an Adjunct Professor, a member of the Continuity Insights Editorial Advisory Board, the International Security Management Association, the Business Continuity Institute, the Association of Contingency Planners, ASIS International, the New Jersey Enterprise Resiliency Roundtable and serves his community as a three-term elected member of the Township Committee.
