Tammy Fennessy is currently the Director of Benefits at Dick’s Sporting Goods, where she leads strategy and employee benefit programs in the United States.  Tammy has over 18 years of experience and previously spent nearly 10 years as the benefits leader at American Eagle Outfitters and 6 years as the benefits leader at Eat’n Park Hospitality Group.  In Spring of 2025, she graduated with her Master of Applied Science in Population Health Management degree from Johns Hopkins University, Bloomberg School of Public Health.  She serves on the Board of Directors at the Integrated Benefits Institute (IBI) and was the Chair of the Board at the Pittsburgh Business Group on Health (PBGH) from 2020 through 2022.    From 2020 through 2024, Tammy actively participated on the Health and Equity Advisory Council with the National Alliance of Healthcare Purchaser Coalitions. 

She currently participates in IBI research projects, is a member Purchaser Advisory Council for the Peterson Health Technology Institute, is a member of the Maternal and Infant Health Equity Heinz Foundation grant project, and participates on a Prevention Task Force focused on improving HPV vaccination rates in the U.S.  Tammy has her PHR certification through HRCI and GBA designation through CEBS. She crafts equitable and fiscally responsible benefit designs and programs, leverages analytics and data to identify marginalized populations and gaps in care, promotes prevention and advanced primary care, provides health program education, and breaks down the barriers to care for the populations she serves.
