Steven Teal is a former Senior Fellow, Human Capital with The Conference Board. Steven brings a unique perspective to today’s human capital opportunities and challenges as he not only has served in senior talent management and HR service delivery roles with companies such as Honeywell, Phillips 66, and Bristol-Myers Squibb but also has a solid academic and practical technical background. Steven completed his doctoral work in information technology and artificial intelligence (AI) and served as a Chief Information Officer with Metro-North Railroad and within the US Air Force. This unique background drives Steven’s current work with clients, which focuses on applying artificial intelligence and data analytics to opportunities within HR while understanding and communicating the business and ethical implications and impacts of these efforts. Steven holds a PhD (ABD) from Carnegie Mellon University; a MS from Dartmouth College; and a BA from the University of South Florida.
