Shiva Pillay is a global technology leader with more than two decades of experience driving growth, operational excellence, and high-performing teams across the Americas, Asia Pacific, and Japan. With deep expertise in data protection, cybersecurity, and cloud transformation, he has consistently delivered results across service providers, SMB, mid-market, and enterprise segments.

As General Manager & Senior Vice President for the Americas at Veeam Software, Shiva leads a $700M+ ARR business spanning the U.S., Canada, and Latin America. He directs regional strategy, sales execution, market expansion, and partner ecosystem development, guiding the business to sustained double-digit growth and strong customer acquisition through disciplined, data-driven leadership.

Previously, he served as General Manager & SVP for Asia Pacific & Japan, where he accelerated Veeam’s regional momentum, strengthened enterprise and channel partnerships, and built localized go-to-market strategies that expanded market presence. His earlier APJ leadership roles unified sales, cloud service provider programs, channels, alliances, and services to improve alignment, scale, and performance.

Before Veeam, Shiva held senior leadership positions at Prevalent, SEC, and SevOne, where he led global services, strategic consulting engagements, and APJ field operations. His early career at EMC and RSA provided foundational expertise in enterprise technology, security operations, and complex sales cycles, ultimately leading to roles overseeing service delivery, SOC functions, and cyber defense initiatives.

Shiva has completed executive education programs at Wharton and INSEAD and holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Wollongong. Known for a leadership approach grounded in empowerment, accountability, innovation, and resilience, he brings a global perspective and a steady, strategic mindset to advancing organizational growth and transformation.
