Sarah Cooper is Vice President, Health Transformation and Innovation for Total Rewards at UnitedHealth Group (UHG). She is responsible for the cross-functional integration of UHG’s well-being and population health strategy. She also is accountable for delivering new evidence-based solutions that enable and support a healthier workforce across all team members. Ms. Cooper has held several positions over the past 23 years at UnitedHealth Group.

Prior to her current role, she was responsible for implementing UHC’s oncology programs across all its products for over 10 years. She also held positions within UHG Research and Development, Optum Genomics and Optum Health with a focus on complex medical conditions. She also led the sales compensation program earlier in her career where she managed the implementation of a new system to provide service and payments to over 55,000 brokers. Prior to joining UHG, Ms. Cooper held positions as a healthcare analyst with Regence BlueCross BlueShield of Oregon and the Portland Shriners Hospital for Children.

Ms. Cooper earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of St. Thomas in St. Paul, MN. She has also completed the Executive Development Program at The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania.
