Samir Shah has been Head of Investor Relations, since 2012. He is a member of the Finance Leadership Team.

Prior to his current appointment, Samir’s previous role in Novartis included Head of Strategy in BD&L and Business Franchise Head Neuroscience and Ophthalmology.

Before joining Novartis, Samir was Global Development Franchise Head Endocrinology and Metabolism, and subsequently Global Business Franchise Head Neurology at Merck Serono, Geneva, Switzerland.

Samir graduated as a physician from University of Sheffield, England and joined the pharmaceutical industry after completing his postgraduate medical training (MRCP). Samir also holds an MBA from the University of Warwick, England.
