Ruth Cotter is AMD’s Senior Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer, leading the company’s Corporate Operations Group, including Marketing, Communications, HR, Corporate Security, IT, and Indirect Procurement. With 25+ years of experience, she has helped guide AMD’s hypergrowth through strategic planning and operational leadership.

Ruth has elevated AMD’s brand through the “together we advance” platform, strengthened executive thought leadership, and improved employee engagement across AMD’s 28,000+ workforce. She also led HR during a period in which AMD doubled in size, emphasizing belonging, inclusion, and improved policies and benefits. In her previous role, she oversaw investor relations, driving outreach that contributed to AMD becoming one of the top-performing stocks in the S&P 500. She is the Executive Sponsor of AMD’s Women’s Forum, serves on the GSA Women’s Leadership Council, and has been recognized by PRWeek’s 2025 Power List.
