Raymond C. (Ray) Jordan is an experienced corporate affairs executive with a demonstrated history of success in healthcare, technology, biotechnology and consumer industries, including manufacturing, R&D, financial and M&A environments.

In early 2020, Jordan became founding principal of Putnam Insights LLC, a strategic communications, consulting and advisory firm. 

At Putnam, Jordan has been providing direct strategic communications counsel to senior executive officers as he builds a select roster of senior communication advisors to corporate and non-profit clients. He also plans to complete development of several packaged service offerings designed to support chief communication officers in adding value to their enterprises.

Jordan has served in contract and staff capacities in multiple industries: senior corporate affairs / communications global lead at Amgen Inc, Johnson & Johnson and Moderna, Inc.; and senior communication and strategic advisor at Pfizer Inc. (including  now-divested subsidiaries of Zoetis Inc., and Minerals Technologies Inc.); Exxon Office Systems Company; Dun & Bradstreet technology subsidiary National CSS Inc.; and Bristol-Myers Squibb Company (including its former consumer subsidiary, Clairol Inc.)  Earlier in his career, Jordan was reporter for a regional daily newspaper and founder of three technical publications in the computer science field (all later sold to Springer-Verlag, now Springer Science+Business Media).

Experienced and skilled in public affairs, corporate social responsibility, crisis and M&A communications, integrated marketing, media relations and public policy, Jordan also has strong exposure to business development and finance..  He graduated with B.A. from Yale University and MBA in marketing and finance from Columbia Business School, Columbia University. 

Jordan has been recognized numerous times for his performance by industry sources such as PRWeek, PRovoke Media, Medical Marketing & Media and the International Association for Measurement and Evaluation of Communication. During Jordan’s corporate tenures, each of his employers was recognized for high reputational status, including in such rankings as FORTUNE World’s Most Admired Companies, the Axios/Harris Corporate Reputation Ranking, Science Magazine Top Employers, Dow Jones Sustainability Index, Fast Company Most Innovative Companies, Forbes Best Large Employers, Business Insider Best Employers in America and Barron's World's Most Respected Companies.

Beyond a core objective of providing strategic counsel to chief communication officers, my goal is to bundle several key strategic initiatives into service packages that may be confidently executed by chief communication officers in real time.“

Over the years, Jordan served the communication industry as a member of the board of the Arthur W. Page Society, the Foundation for American Communications, the Institute for Public Relations, and as a member of the Seminar Committee.  He served the healthcare industry as chair of PhRMA’s Public Affairs section and the National Pharmaceutical Council’s User Group.  He has also played a long-term consultative role to the board of the CEO Roundtable on Cancer, founded by former President George H. W. Bush, following his departure from office.
