Portia Fields is the Vice President of Blueprints to Black Wealth (Blueprints) responsible for leading the shared value business growth strategy that reimagines how Prudential Financial expands access to those who have been historically excluded from the financial system. Blueprints helps Prudential serve as an industry leader in understanding and solving unique challenges that helps tailor its business model to meet the needs and demands of the marketplace and establishes a dual benefit for both the company and communities at-large.

Previously, Portia worked at JPMorgan Chase & Co for 13 years, where she served in a variety of strategic leadership roles across the businesses and corporate functions. Most recently, she was the Head of the Black and Hispanic Consumer segment for the Consumer Bank, responsible for implementing business strategies that expanded their footprint within Black and Hispanic communities. She also led the Marketing strategy for the grand opening of the Harlem Community Center Branch (June 2019) during her career in the Marketing organization on the Branch & Local Experience team. Both roles impacted 20MM+ US-based customers across ~4,900 branches in 48 states.

Portia is an alumnus of McKinsey’s Black Leadership Academy and a lifetime member of The National Black MBA Association. She also serves as the Board Chair for the Africentric Professional Development Shop, Inc. (APDS), a nonprofit behavioral healthcare center that specializes in the prevention, treatment and recovery of substance abuse and domestic violence intervention education. Portia is an active member of the Mt. Olivet Baptist Church (Columbus, OH) where she serves as the Vice President on their long-range committee, responsible for building a 10-year roadmap to expand the impact of the church, as well as the leader of retreats and events for the women’s ministry.

Portia earned her BA in Political Science and Spanish from The Ohio State University and her MBA and Paralegal certificate from Franklin University (Columbus, OH).
