Phil Friedman serves as Executive Chairman of Computer Generated Solutions, Inc. (CGS), a global leader in IT solutions and services. He founded CGS in 1984 and built it into a diversified technology enterprise delivering award-winning software, consulting, systems integration, training, and support to clients in more than 48 countries. Under his leadership, CGS has grown to 8,000+ professionals worldwide through a combination of organic growth and strategic acquisitions.

His vision and leadership have been recognized by Inc. Magazine, Deloitte & Touche, and Crain’s New York Business. Mr. Friedman has received numerous honors throughout his career, including the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award and the Ellis Island Medal of Honor, and his contributions to the U.S. economy and society have twice been recognized by the United States Congress. He was also appointed to represent the State of New York on the Presidential Business Commission and to serve as an Honorary Chairman of the National Business Advisory Council.

Mr. Friedman is actively engaged in civic and philanthropic work, serving as Vice Chairman and Trustee of Yeshiva University, a member of the Executive Committee of the Tom Lantos Institute, a member of the Economic Club of New York, the Washington Post Intelligence Council, and the Wall Street Journal CEO Committee, among many others.

Born and raised in the former Soviet Union, Mr. Friedman earned degrees in electrical engineering, economics, and finance before immigrating to the United States, where he also studied information systems.
