Paul Gillin is an independent writer, speaker, and journalist who specializes in enterprise technology topics. He was founding editor-in-chief of the B2B technology publisher TechTarget, where he grew the editorial staff from two to more than 70 journalists over five years. Previously, he was editor-in-chief and executive editor of the technology weekly Computerworld for 15 years.

Paul was one of the first journalists to understand the enormous impact that social media would have on business and culture, a phenomenon he documented in his 2007 best-selling book, The New Influencers. He spent 10 years advising companies such as Disney, Procter & Gamble, IBM, and Corning about how to use social media to connect with customers. During that period, he authored four more books and more than 500 articles about social media and digital marketing.

Paul is currently Enterprise Editor of the tech news site SiliconAngle, and he works on custom content programs for a wide range of IT companies.
