Patrice de Hemptinne

Patrice de Hemptinne is Leader of the Governance & Sustainability Center, Europe & Asia, at The Conference Board. He works with senior executives and boards on governance, sustainability, and strategic transformation, helping organizations strengthen governance practices, embed sustainability into business strategy, and create long-term value.

Patrice brings more than 25 years of international experience as a General Counsel, Company Secretary, board advisor, and executive leader across a variety of industrial and service sectors ranging from aviation, transport, steel, oil and gas and infrastructure sectors. Throughout his career, he has advised boards, executive teams, and private equity investors on governance, legal strategy, risk management, compliance, mergers and acquisitions, and organizational transformation.

Prior to joining The Conference Board, Patrice was CLO and Board advisor and led governance and sustainability initiatives in complex, multicultural organizations, with a particular focus on helping businesses navigate growth, strengthen board effectiveness, and implement sustainability strategies in highly regulated industries.  His experience spans both listed and privately held companies as well as PE portfolio companies.
