Neil Kayal is Vice President of Strategy and Corporate Development at Cencora, where he focuses on M&A, enterprise strategy and portfolio optimization across the healthcare ecosystem. His work spans complex transactions, growth strategy and cross-functional initiatives that align capital allocation with long-term value creation across distribution, specialty services and health systems.

Most recently, Neil played a key role in the strategic divestiture and merger of Cencora’s MWI Animal Health business with Covetrus, a transaction that highlights his experience in evaluating portfolio alternatives and executing value-maximizing outcomes. His work often sits at the intersection of strategic decision-making, operational execution and financial discipline, particularly in situations requiring careful assessment of build, buy, or divest pathways.

Prior to Cencora, Neil held strategy and commercial leadership roles, including experience within the Danaher Corporation ecosystem, where he developed a foundation in disciplined operating models, continuous improvement, and value creation through strategic execution. His broader background spans healthcare, life sciences and adjacent industries, with a focus on market expansion, investment evaluation and scaling businesses in complex environments.

Neil holds a PhD in Bioengineering from Temple University and a Master of Liberal Arts in Management from Harvard Extension School.
