Mihir Sarkar is a consultant, executive, entrepreneur, scientist, and designer who works with the largest and smallest organizations to solve big problems. He is currently the Head of Data at ENGIE Digital where he uses data science to help lead the zero-carbon energy transition. He has contributed to the development of several technologies such as speech recognition, remote collaboration, and online trading. Mihir holds a PhD in Media Arts and Sciences from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he founded the MIT Media Lab's International Initiatives program to empower communities around the world to solve their own problems with design, data, and grit. He has leadership and operational experience at startups, blue chips, and academia in the US, Europe, and Asia. Mihir regularly speaks at major conferences and venues on design, innovation, and technology, including at Google, Facebook, Samsung, Harvard, and Stanford. Mihir is an Intel Software Innovator, a TechStars mentor, and an adjunct professor at a new Master's course on AI for Business Transformation.
