Michele Smiley is the Communications team lead for BASF’s Catalysts Division. She directs the internal and external communications strategies for the global division and leads a team of communicators around the world. Michele has extensive experience in culture and global change initiatives. With a focus on digitalization and media relations, Michele is passionate about expanding B2B content reach and influence. Additionally, Michele has more than a decade of experience in leading editorial and news operations in some of cable and digital news’ busiest newsrooms. From leading national election night coverage to managing field production units across the Middle East, Michele's media and journalism background deeply influences her communications approach and leadership style. She lives in New Jersey with her husband, son and bulldog.
