Michael has worked in Healthcare and Health Management for over 30 years, serving in strategic leadership roles at large Health Plans and innovative Health Management organizations. Michael is a senior consultant and innovation strategist at Willis Towers Watson and previously led the Insights & Innovation Lab at Lockton.  Throughout his career he has worked with Fortune 500 employers to deliver innovative and sustainable healthcare solutions.

Michael offers expertise in the areas of Analytics, Design Thinking, Employee Experience and Wellbeing. He consults with clients on health plan design, network strategy, advocacy and health improvement. He has helped employers transform their overall employee benefits experience, improve employee satisfaction and reduce total healthcare expenditures.

Michael leads the Annual Innovation Contest at the Employer Healthcare Conference for WTW and is a member of our Artificial Intelligence Task Force for Health & Benefits.  He has served on the Business Group on Health, Health Innovations Forum and the Wellbeing & Workforce Strategy Institute. He has been on the faculty for the Employer Health Innovation Roundtable Academy (EHIR) and supported Catalyst for Payment Reform’s (CPR) High Value Solutions Collaborative as a subject matter expert. He collaborates with leading venture capital firms and healthcare accelerators on identifying key themes for investments in digital health solutions. He has been a speaker at The Conference Board, the New England Employee Benefits Council (NEEBC), the Northeast Business Group on Health (NEBGH), and the Business Group on Health (BGH).

Education and Credentials

Michael received an M.B.A in Business Administration from Rutgers University and a B.A. in English from the University of New Hampshire. He has completed 6 courses in the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist program. He also has a certificate in Design Thinking from Rutgers University and has completed courses in Lean Startup Methodologies through Giant Innovation.
