Matthew DiGirolamo was appointed Chief Corporate Affairs & Engagement Officer for L’Oréal’s North America Zone in September 2021. Reporting to L’Oréal USA CEO David Greenberg and Global Chief Corporate Affairs & Engagement Officer Blanca Juti, Matthew is responsible for building and protecting L’Oréal’s reputation in its North America zone to support the company’s business objectives.

In this role, Matthew directs the company’s communications strategy and engagement initiatives with a range of stakeholders including employees, business partners and influential voices in media, culture and government. At L’Oréal, Matthew is focused on helping key stakeholders understand the corporate purpose and culture, business strategy, leadership vision, technological innovation, and social contributions of the parent company behind the iconic beauty brands and hero products that millions of consumers use and love every day.

Matthew also leads the company’s corporate brand marketing, its reputational issues & crisis management function as well as its community relations initiatives.

Matthew joined the L’Oréal Groupe’s US subsidiary in January 2014 and previously served as Chief Communications Officer for six years after holding the role of Vice President, External Communications for L’Oréal USA. Prior to joining the company, he was a Los Angeles-based consultant leading strategic communications initiatives for a range of high-profile clients and projects, including Maria Shriver, The Shriver Report, Special Olympics, the California Governor and First Lady’s Office, The Women’s Conference, The California Endowment, U.S. Green Building Council and Live Earth.
