Matt Peterson is an award-winning journalist who covers policymaking, economics and the financial markets for CNBC, where he is senior economics writer. He was previously a senior editor at Barron’s and The Atlantic and was chief of staff at the geopolitics consulting firm Eurasia Group.

Matt is a graduate of Tufts University and the London School of Economics. He lives in New York City.
