Pomelo Care

Marta Bralic Kerns is the founder and CEO of Pomelo Care, the national leader in evidence-based maternity care.

Marta founded Pomelo Care in 2021 after a career focused on healthcare innovation, value-based care, and eliminating health inequities and barriers to care. She saw an opportunity to use data science and machine learning to identify and manage risk to dramatically improve maternal health outcomes, reduce racial disparities, and decrease costs.

Marta began her career as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company, focusing on healthcare payment reform. While there, she consulted for a state Medicaid agency on transitioning to value-based care, starting with maternity care. This experience exposed her to the urgent challenges within the maternal health system.

In 2014, she joined Flatiron Health, where she became Senior Vice President of Business Development. There, she oversaw new business initiatives, strategic partnerships, and product innovation, using data and technology to personalize cancer care. Her experience at Flatiron deepened her understanding of how personalized care can drive better outcomes across healthcare.

Marta holds a Bachelor of Arts in Government and Computer Science from Harvard University.
