MC González has been Executive Vice President and Chief Communications and Public Affairs Officer of Popular since April 2021. Prior to joining Popular, Ms. González was the Senior Vice President of Global Public Affairs of The Estée Lauder Companies, Inc. from July 2016 to March 2021. From July 2013 to May 2015, Ms. González was the Director of Communications to First Lady Michelle Obama and Special Assistant to President Barack Obama. Since November 2020, she has been a member of the Board of Directors of Televisa-Univision Communications, Inc., the leading Hispanic media company. She also serves as an Advisor to the Jonathan M. Tisch College of Citizenship and Public Service at Tufts University, her alma mater. MC lives in San Juan, Puerto Rico with her husband and son.
