Lori is a thought leader on age diversity and inclusion in the workforce. She joined the AARP Public Policy Institute in 2010 where she conducts research on policy issues ranging from age diversity to mortgage foreclosures, student loans and consumer credit. She led a multi-year initiative, the Future of Work@50+, that examined employment challenges faced by older Americans. She is frequently quoted in the media on topics such as age inclusion, financial issues, and consumer debt.

Lori is known for delivering humorous, engaging, and energetic presentations. She has travelled the country presenting on the topic of age diversity and inclusion at conferences and corporate events. Her groundbreaking report, “Disrupting Aging in the Workplace: Profiles in Intergenerational Diversity Leadership,” continues to serve as a reference for organizations seeking to address age within their people strategies.   

Lori is an adjunct faculty instructor at the New York University School of Professional Studies—where she teaches courses on developing data-driven metrics and the use of technology to improve employee experience across the employee life cycle—in the DEI Certificate Program.

Lori is a member of The Conference Board’s Opportunity and Access Innovators Council and has been a council member since 2019.

Lori holds a Ph.D. in economics and finance, an M.A. in international economics, and a B.A. in financial management from The Catholic University of America in Washington, DC. In addition, she holds an executive certificate in financial planning from Georgetown University. Lori completed the diversity and inclusion certificate program at the ILR School of Cornell University and is a Cornell Certified Diversity Professional/Advanced Practitioner. Currently, Lori is pursuing a Master of Natural Resources degree at Virginia Tech with a focus on sustainability.
