Lily Jamali is the North America Technology Correspondent at BBC News in San Francisco where she covers the latest developments in tech for the BBC’s television, radio and digital platforms, and regularly contributes to the BBC’s Tech Decoded newsletter.  She joined the BBC in 2024 after three years at the public radio program “Marketplace.” Prior to Marketplace, she spent three years as co-host and correspondent at KQED’s The California Report airing on NPR stations throughout the state. She had also served a journalist at Bloomberg and Reuters. She is currently writing a book on bankruptcy for Simon & Schuster.
