Laura K. Ipsen is President and CEO of Ellucian, the leading global provider of technology solutions for higher education, serving approximately 3,000 institutions in 50 countries. Since joining in 2017, she has led the company’s global expansion and transformation to the cloud and SaaS, helping modernize how institutions use data to drive student success.

With more than 30 years in technology, Ipsen has held leadership roles at Oracle, Microsoft, Cisco, PwC, Acer America, and Hitachi Data Systems, shaping advancements in data, cloud, and digital transformation. She has received numerous honors, including CNBC Changemakers (2026), Calibre One’s Top 25 Women Leaders in U.S. PE-Backed Software (2022, 2023, 2025), the Virginia Business Power 500 (2024–2025), the Digital Revolution Award’s Outstanding Leader of the Year (2023), Globee’s Female CEO of the Year (2022), and recognition from The Software Report as one of the Top 50 Women Leaders in SaaS (2022).

Beyond Ellucian, Ipsen serves as Chair of the Business-Higher Education Forum and sits on the Supervisory Board of Daimler Truck Holding AG, among other industry organizations. She holds a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Virginia and studied Arabic at Yarmouk University in Jordan.
