Kurt Reiman is a Senior Economist for Finance, Risk and Strategy in the Economy, Strategy & Finance Center at The Conference Board. In this role, Kurt focuses on monetary policy, currencies, banking, financial markets, liquidity, and credit, among other topics.

Before this, Kurt was a member of the BlackRock Investment Institute and Senior Strategist for North America, where he conducted research on tactical investment views and communicated macroeconomic and financial market views to BlackRock’s clients globally. Prior to joining BlackRock, Kurt was the Head of Thematic Research at UBS in New York and Zurich and published on a wide range of topics including North American energy independence, sustainable investing, climate change, retirement, health care, geopolitics, US competitiveness, and demographics.

Kurt discusses his research and investment views regularly in the financial news media, including CNBC, Yahoo! Finance, BNN Bloomberg, the Financial Post, and the Globe and Mail.

He earned his bachelor’s degree in business and economics from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, and his master’s degree in international relations with a concentration in international economics from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies in Washington, DC.
