Kate Ahern is Head, ESG at Sandoz (SDZ), the global leader in generic and biosimilar medicines. At Sandoz, Kate leads global ESG strategy focused on four pillars: Access, Sustainability, People, and Corporate Governance.

Prior to joining Sandoz, Kate was MD and Head of ESG and Sustainability for Cartica Management, a public equities manager focused on ESG in Emerging Markets. Kate was also the first Director of ESG and Communications at global investor Bain Capital, where she managed ESG across asset classes and helped launch the Bain Capital Double Impact Fund, a PE strategy that invested in companies with a social mission.  Previously, Kate served as VP of Social Innovation at the Case Foundation, where she focused on impact investing and grantmaking for social enterprises. She also managed ESG and economic development programs for Fortune 100 companies and government agencies globally.
