Karla Thommen is a strategic People Operations leader at The Partners Group, aligning HR and Learning & Development initiatives with business goals to enhance employee experience and performance.

She brings deep expertise in talent management, leadership development, and organizational strategy, transforming HR into a proactive function. Her work includes advancing performance management, compensation, onboarding automation, and leadership training to strengthen engagement and retention.

Previously, Karla founded a Population Health Management consulting practice for healthcare organizations, improving workforce well-being and reducing costs. She also serves as an adjunct instructor, mentor, and speaker.

Karla holds a Master’s in Management and Organizational Leadership and is SHRM-SCP certified, with additional certifications in Workplace Mediation, Prosci change management, and Fierce Conversations. She serves on the OSU School of Business advisory board and is passionate about developing people and driving business success.
