Karen Staten is the Vice President of Employee Pay & Benefits at Maritz, bringing extensive leadership experience across benefits, compensation, HRIS, and payroll. She leads a high performing team responsible for designing and delivering benefits programs that support employee well being, developing competitive compensation strategies, managing payroll operations, and overseeing the Human Capital Management system.

Under her leadership, the team builds programs that meet compliance requirements, enhance cost efficiency, and advances the organization’s strategic priorities. Karen is widely regarded for her strategic vision, collaborative approach, and deep subject matter expertise.

She is a long standing member of the St. Louis Chapter of CEBS (Certified Employee Benefit Specialists) and contributes her expertise as a volunteer on the Lindenwood University Advisory Council and as a participant on the Cigna Appeals Committee.
