Dr. John Crary is a Professor of Pathology, Neuroscience, and Artificial Intelligence and Human Health at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He directs the Neuropathology Brain Bank and leads major institutional efforts to integrate AI into pathology and laboratory medicine. A nationally recognized authority on deploying AI in healthcare, Dr. Crary has pioneered digital pathology workflows, developed AI-driven tools such as HistoAge for biological brain age estimation, and helped define diagnostic criteria for neurodegenerative diseases. His work bridges research, clinical implementation, and policy to ensure that AI delivers real-world impact in precision medicine and health systems.
