John Christiansen is a partner at FGS Global, based in San Francisco. He serves as Co-Head of the firm's West Coast offices and Co-Head of the Transaction & Financial Communications practice. John advises clients on complex M&A, activist defense, IPOs, restructuring and crisis situations, as well as ongoing media relations and investor relations programs.

Notable and recent engagements include advising SpaceX on its $75 billion IPO; Fox on its $22 billion acquisition of Roku; Skyworks on its $22 billion combination with Qorvo; Netflix on its $83 billion proposed acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery’s studio and streaming businesses; Silicon Labs on its $7.5 billion sale to Texas Instruments; EA on its $55 billion take-private by a consortium; Autodesk on its defense against Starboard; Synopsys on its $35 billion acquisition of Ansys and defense against Elliott Management; HPE on its $14 billion acquisition of Juniper Networks; Arm on its $4.9 billion IPO; Dexcom on IP litigation against Abbott; and Slack on its direct listing and $28 billion sale to Salesforce.

Prior to joining FGS Global in 2009, John was head of West Coast Equity Capital Markets for Cowen, responsible for the origination and execution of over $26 billion of offerings in technology, consumer and healthcare. Previously, John spent over 10 years with Morgan Stanley, primarily in the Silicon Valley Technology Investment Banking Group.

John graduated magna cum laude with high honors from Dartmouth College and earned his Master of Public Policy from Harvard University.
