Jennifer Dowd has been a sales and account management professional at UnitedHealthcare since 2012.  In her current role as Regional Vice President (RVP), Client Management, National Accounts, Jennifer leads the New York and New Jersey Region.  Jennifer is charged with leading the growth and retention of National Account clients and deepening enterprise relationships with each client.    

Jennifer joined UnitedHealthcare as a Strategic Client Executive responsible for managing the strategic relationships with large and complex employer clients.  In this role Jennifer focused on understanding her clients’ employee benefits and total compensation goals, and worked with them to develop appropriate solutions.  Jennifer also lead the Account Management Team, a team of professionals responsible for day-to-day administration and implementation to ensure UnitedHealthcare exceeded the service expectations set by clients.

In 2019 Jennifer was promoted to the Metro New York Director role.  In addition to maintaining responsibility of several National Account client relationships, Jennifer took on a hybrid role supporting the Regional Vice President with market-specific initiatives which well prepared her to move into the RVP role in 2021. 

Prior to joining UnitedHealthcare, Jennifer was invited into the prestigious Aetna Group School sales training program and then worked as an Account Manager in Aetna National Accounts based in New York, NY.  She was responsible for ensuring excellent account management and customer service for her medical, dental, and group insurance clients.

Jennifer has a BA from Amherst College and an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business. She lives in New Jersey with her husband Matt and three children, James, Christopher, and Eve.  Jennifer enjoys tennis, paddle tennis, golf, New York sports teams, and swimming.
