Janear Sewell is Vanguard's Global Head of Culture, Development, Inclusion, and Leadership, where she is charged with evolving how Vanguard crew work, how they lead, and how they grow. Before her current role, Janear resided in London where she led Vanguard's International HR team and was accountable for hiring, developing, rewarding, and retaining the 2,000+ crew outside the US. Janear has also led Vanguard's global talent management function, where she was responsible for broadening the range and capabilities of talent at the firm.

Janear earned a Bachelor of Arts in psychology at Temple University, a Doctor of Psychology in organizational psychology at Rutgers University and is a graduate of Harvard Business School's Program for Leadership Development.
