Director for Corporate Sustainability
AECOM Asia is part of AECOM (NYSE: ACM), a global provider of professional planning, design and engineering services to transportation, facilities, environmental and energy markets. Trained as a chemist, he has extensive consulting experience in policy research and management practices concerning the built environment, waste management, energy and climate change as well as on the broader issues of sustainable development. He has particular interests in policy and technology applications to design low carbon cities of the future. Dr. Tang is a regular speaker at local and international conferences and he has contributed a number of articles to the South China Morning Post on sustainability and the environment. In addition, Dr. Tang has been interviewed for his views on regional sustainability developments by Bloomberg and Al-Jazeera television networks. He is a faculty associate for the Henley Business School and a visiting scholar for the University of Hong Kong’s Business Faculty. Dr. Tang graduated from the City University, London (UK), with a Bachelors degree in Industrial Chemistry. He took his doctorate in materials science also at the City University, and later obtained his MBA from Brunel University (UK) in 1990 where he was awarded the Outstanding Student Award for his year.
