Managing Director, Head of Communication and Culture
Rebecca Ballard is managing director, head of communication and culture, at Hill+Knowlton Strategies, a global strategic communications consultancy. In this role, she leads the function responsible for communication, marketing, employee engagement, and key people and cultural initiatives in the U.S., in addition to being a senior member of a global team working to protect and enhance the H+K brand across the firm’s nearly 90 offices and 50 countries.
Rebecca also serves as executive director of the firm’s women's network, HER (Helping Executives Rise), which she founded in 2015. This and other cultural programs she’s developed and implemented have been award-winning, earning the firm numerous innovation, culture and workplace awards as well as certification as a Great Place to Work, and earning Rebecca a place in the inaugural class of PR News Diversity in PR Individuals of the Year.
For nearly a decade before stepping into her current role, Rebecca was a communications counselor for H+K and Public Strategies clients across a broad spectrum of industry sectors, including automotive, retail, manufacturing, health care, energy, and financial and professional services. She’s been a recipient of H+K’s Client Service Award, recognizing excellence in client service and account management.
Rebecca has been a member of the PRWeek 40 Under 40 and currently serves as co-chair of the PR Council’s shadow board of directors of next-generation industry leaders, PRC Next.
