Katy Breuer serves as program director of The Conference Board Project Management Executives Council which brings together senior executives in project management from the world’s leading companies and organizations.
Breuer has extensive experience in project management, change management, brand management, and finance, including a successful 30-year career with Marriott International. She served as the vice president of global operations project services, leading a team of project managers, change managers, and implementation managers in deploying major initiatives into 6000-plus hotels around the world. Breuer coordinated the annual initiative prioritization and planning process. Her prior experience includes leadership roles in operations, strategic planning, brand management, development finance, and corporate finance. Prior to her career in Marriott, she worked in consulting and as an economist for the General Accounting Office.
Breuer is a leadership coach for executives and is a graduate of the Leadership Coaching Program at Georgetown University.
Breuer received an MBA in finance from George Washington University and a bachelor of arts in economics from Hobart and William Smith Colleges. She has certifications in project management (PMP), program management (PgMP) and portfolio management (PfMP) from the Project Management Institute (PMI) and certifications in Change Management from ACMP (CCMP) and Prosci. Breuer is active in the Project Management Institute (PMI) and the Association of Change Management Professionals (ACMP) and is the co-chair of the Volunteer Engagement Committee for ACMP.
