Vice President, Talent Development and Strategy
Luciana Amaro is a Vice President in BASF Corporation’s Human Resources department, leading the Talent Development and Strategy unit. In her current role, which she assumed on August 1, 2014, she is responsible for North American talent management, leadership development, talent acquisition and university relations, workforce planning, employee and organizational development and leadership excellence & development.
Luciana joined BASF in 2000 and has since then held various HR roles in South America and Europe. Prior to being delegated to North America, she spent 3 years in Ludwigshafen in positions with global scope in Executive and Leadership Development (ZOF/E) and in the Senior Project Employee Development.
In her home country, Brazil, she accumulated years of experience as an HR Business Partner, working with virtually all the businesses and functions in BASF and leading teams of HR generalists and experts. She coordinated the development and implementation of full-cycle HR solutions, especially in topics such as: talent management, leadership development, succession planning, workforce planning, labor relations and organizational development. In addition, Luciana has experience working as a Human Resources expert, both in the South America Compensation & Benefits and Talent Development & Acquisition Centers of Expertise.
Ms. Amaro holds an undergraduate and a graduate degree in psychology and an MBA with a concentration in Human Resources Management from the Management Institute Foundation of the Sao Paulo University. She is married and has two step-children.
