Group head of People Strategy & Insight
Greig is Group Head, People Strategy & Insight for RBS group. He leads the development of the Group’s People Strategy globally and works across HR and the business to drive employee engagement, leadership & talent effectiveness, employee research, organisational effectiveness and employee listening.
The focus of Greig’s work is to support leaders deeply understand the effectiveness of their employee engagement and people strategy and, importantly, their tangible impact on businesses performance and service.
Greig joined RBS in 1986 and has worked in Retail & Corporate Banking, line management and core process re-engineering within RBS prior to moving into Human Resources. Greig has been involved in over 20 M&A’s – designing and running engagement & acquisition surveys to support bank management assess the organisational fit, engagement levels and leadership effectiveness of the newly acquired businesses.
He is a qualified chartered Banker, has an MBA in finance and management, is a Fellow of the CIPD and of the Learning & Performance Institute.
Greig has taught employee engagement and human capital strategy case studies at Harvard Business School, London Business School and the University of Southern California. He is a member of the Conference Board’s European Council on Strategic Workforce Planning and is a expert and guru group member of the “engaging for success” initiative.
