Eileen McCarthy is JetBlue’s Vice President, Associate General Counsel, Corporate Governance and Assistant Secretary. She focuses on securities disclosure and transactions, corporate governance, corporate ethics and compliance issues, and information security matters. She assists the General Counsel in supporting the Company’s Board of Directors and its committees.
Prior to coming to JetBlue, she was a partner in the Corporate Transactions and Securities group of a national law firm, with a practice that focused on advising public companies on securities law and governance issues following the advent of the SarbanesOxley Act of 2002. She is a former law clerk for the Hon. K. Michael Moore, U.S.D.J., Southern District of Florida.
She received her undergraduate degree from Columbia College, Columbia University and her law degree from Fordham Law School, where she served as the Editor- in-Chief of the Fordham International Law Journal.
She is admitted to the Bar of the State of New York and to the Eastern and Southern Districts of New York. She is a member of the City Bar and serves on the Information Technology Law Committee (2015-2018). She is the chair of the Small and Mid Cap Company Committee of the Society of Corporate Secretaries and Governance Professionals and serves on the Society’s Securities Law Committee.
