Chief Human Resources Officer
Jennifer Waldo was named SVP & Chief Human Resources Officer for GE Digital in December 2016. She is responsible for leading the company’s digital industrial transformation through its people strategy, building and growing digital talent and organizational capability across 26,000 digital employees.
Jennifer joined GE Digital (formerly the Software Center of Excellence) in October 2012 as the Head of HR, before being promoted to Senior HRM in September 2015. In these roles, she built the foundation of GE’s software talent and organizational capability from the ground up, enabling the company to grow from 1,200 individuals to a leader in the Industrial Internet.
She began her GE career in 2001 in the Human Resources Leadership Program, completing?assignments in Union Relations in Lynn, Massachusetts and Corporate Union Relations?in?Fairfield, Connecticut, preparing and?contributing to?the 2003?national?agreements.
Off-program, she held several roles in both union and non-union GE Aircraft Engine plants in New England before moving to Cincinnati, Ohio as the HRM for GE Aviation Sales, Marketing and Business Development. From there, she became the Avionics HR Leader for GE Aviation Systems where she helped build the leadership team and supported key initiatives such as the start-up of a JV and the acquisition of Naverus. She was then promoted to become the Organization & Executive Development Leader for GE Aviation.
Jennifer earned her bachelor's degree in?political?philosophy and her master's degree in?human?resources and?labor?relations from Michigan State University.?
