Since joining Cigna in 2004, Greg has held numerous human resources leadership roles across multiple businesses, and has led many successful change initiatives across the enterprise. In 2013, Greg assumed the role of Senior Vice President of our US Commercial Markets.
In this position, Greg drove significant business growth through an effective human resources and people strategy across our US markets, segments and service operations, including clinical teams and functions. Very recently, Greg was appointed to a new role as Senior Vice President, Talent Management for Cigna worldwide. His oversight in this new role encompasses recruitment, learning and development, leadership development, succession planning, strategic workforce planning, performance management, employee relations, and enterprise organization design.
Before Greg’s initial appointment to Senior Vice President in 2013, he was the Human Resources Lead for Cigna Global Health Benefits. Prior to that, he was the Human Resources Lead for the U.S. Domestic Commercial business. During his tenure at Cigna, Greg has also led talent and change initiatives in several other operational and clinical segments within Cigna.
Greg’s experience prior to Cigna comes from Capital One Financial, Merck Medco Managed Care (now Express Scripts), and 3M Corporation. He earned a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor of Arts from Washington and Lee University.
