Dr. John Gillis, Jr., is program director for the Talent Acquisition Corporate and Enterprise Councils and for the annual Talent Acquisition Conference. Dr. Gillis has extensive experience providing clients with consulting expertise focused on talent management, change management and organization development. Dr. Gillis builds collaborative business relationships with his client to successfully deliver implementations impacting human capital including talent acquisition, competency model development, talent assessments, succession planning, organization design, and more. In addition, he designs, develops, and delivers leadership development programs around the world to cross industry clients.
Previously, Dr. Gillis was a certified management consultant for IBM’s Strategic Change and Business Transformation solution groups, a human performance management consultant for Accenture, a performance consultant for Convergys, and product lead for the Center for Creative Leadership. His undergraduate degree is from the University of Texas, his MBA from Baylor University, and his doctoral degree from the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education and Wharton Business School.
Dr. Gillis is president of the Penn Doctoral Alumni Network and has served on boards for Young Life and the Austin Leadership Forum, as well as an examiner for the Ethics in Business Awards and the Malcolm Baldrige Quality Award. Working with kids, he was a Scout Cub Master and coach of numerous sports teams. He is also the founder and past president of CampLIFE!, a 501(c)(3) non-profit charity, with a mission to provide for the families of deceased soldiers deployed in Iraq and Afghanistan.
