Director, Innovation Consultancy
From nurse, to hospital administrator, to business consultant, to start up maverick, to design and innovation in healthcare. My goal? Lifelong learning and exploration to make a positive difference. I founded and led the first of its kind in-house design and innovation practice at Kaiser Permanente starting in 2003 and have begun a new passion to bring design researchers and practitioners together from around the globe to learn from each other. I'm having so much fun it's prompted me to go back to school myself for PhD in Innovation and Design.
Specialties: Creation of new processes, roles, interactions and spaces using human-centered design and design thinking methodology; field ethnography; ideation and prototyping sessions; partnering with labor and management; benchmarking; strategic planning; team development. I love working with good people to help solve meaningful challenges
