Elizabeth (Betty) Bourg is the Program Director for The Conference Board Information and Research Management Council. Prior to this role, she was a member of the Information and Research Management Council. Betty recently retired after a 36-year career managing research services and electronic information services. She spent 24 years with the International Monetary Fund (IMF), where she directed and implemented the transition from hard copy resource management to electronic resources selection and management. She was responsible for a $10 million portfolio of information services, and associated budget preparation, defense, and monitoring. Services were delivered to two international fi nancial institutions with staff in over 100 countries. Prior to joining the IMF, Betty worked for OPIC (a federally owned corporation). She also worked for a nuclear energy trade association, a labor union, a public library, and was a member of the Dow Jones Customer Advisory Group from 2004-2007. Betty and her husband currently reside in Vero Beach, Florida, and have two adult children.
